I am so very ready to be done with Camino prep.
Seven months of planning. Endless research into the minutiae: packs, clothes, pack weight... even bar shampoos. Travel arrangements, Covid protocols. Clearing up all the financial and household stuff before I leave Nick to care for the house and dogs.
I wake early every morning with a to-do list in my head. The more items I take off of it of, the more items get added. At this point, I'm nervous that in the pursuit of getting all the little things packed and done, I'll forget something big, like my passport or medications.
I'm not complaining. It's a privilege to be able to take the time to do this journey. And of course, I am grateful to be alive and healthy enough to take it.
It's just time to go.
