Days 39: Travel to Madrid

Sweet Diana in Winchester made me breakfast and drove me to the Park & Ride for Heathrow. That ride and the one into Madrid were the only parts of the trip that went smoothly.

Nothing exciting: bus was late, but I had plenty of time in Heathrow that turned into a LOT of time when my flight was delayed by 6 hours, in the terminal and on the tarmac. But arrive I did in Madrid. The cab line of 150 people took 15 minutes to get through. And soon I was in Madrid, meeting Henrietta, my host. A midnight piece of toast and to bed.
